Built for the climate
Footings below the frost line, a properly compacted base under interlock, and materials suited to Ontario winters: composite or wood decking, natural stone, and concrete pavers that will not heave.

Fire, cooking, and lighting
Stone fire pits and fire tables, built-in gas BBQs with stone counters, and low-voltage landscape lighting so the yard is usable after dark. Gas and electrical runs are done by licensed trades.

Permits and property lines
Decks above a certain height and structures near lot lines need permits in Toronto and most GTA municipalities. We check the zoning, file what is required, and build to pass inspection.
